Liver Test
Our liver function test is used to check bilirubin and urobilinogen levels in urine samples, as an aid in identifying potential liver and gallbladder problems. The result is determined by visually comparing the test strip to the color chart printed on the packaging.
Why test for bilirubin?
If liver issues are suspected, it’s important to measure bilirubin levels in the blood — the same applies to suspected bile duct disorders. A clear sign of elevated bilirubin is yellowing of the skin and the whites of the eyes.
How the self-test works:
- Open the foil pouch and remove the test strip.
- Urinate into a clean cup and dip the strip into the urine.
- Read the result after approximately 1 minute by comparing the reaction color on the strip with the color chart. Keep the strip horizontal during the reading to avoid mixing colors between the two test areas.
