Blood in Stool (FOB)

A CE-marked rapid test for the detection of hidden blood in stool, providing an early warning sign.

Many conditions can cause hidden blood in the stool, known as Fecal Occult Blood (FOB). This test detects low levels of blood in the stool using a double-antibody assay that selectively identifies blood at 50 ng/mL or more, or 6 µg/g of stool. Unlike some other tests, the accuracy is not affected by your diet.

How to use:

1. Collect a stool sample using the provided stool collector. Use it with any toilet to avoid contaminating the sample.
2. Unscrew the cap of the sample collection tube and insert the sampling stick randomly into the stool at at least three different spots. Do not scoop the sample. Screw the cap back on tightly and shake the tube vigorously to mix the sample with the extraction buffer.
3. Remove the test cassette from the foil pouch and use it as soon as possible. For best results, perform the test immediately after opening the pouch.
4. Hold the collection tube upright and open the dropper cap. Turn the tube upside down and apply 2 full drops into the sample well (S) of the test cassette, then start the timer.
5. Read the result after 5 minutes. Do not read the result after 10 minutes.
