Bacterial Vaginosis (Vaginal Infection) Test for Women – 6 Combo Kit
This test detects 6 vaginal health indicators:
- Lactobacilli (H₂O₂)
In healthy women of reproductive age, lactobacilli form a nearly continuous biofilm in the vagina. They produce hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂), which is toxic to many other bacteria and acts as a natural defense. - Bacterial Vaginosis (SA)
Bacterial vaginosis is an imbalance of the vaginal flora. Symptoms may include grayish-yellow, watery or frothy discharge with an unpleasant odor, often stronger during menstruation. Some cases may be asymptomatic. - Vaginal Inflammation (LE)
Infections caused by bacteria or yeast can lead to inflammation. Symptoms may include discharge, itching, and pain. This test detects leukocyte esterase (LE), an enzyme associated with white blood cells, indicating infection. - Fungal Infection / Candida (CV)
Candida vaginitis is an overgrowth of yeast in the vagina, causing irritation. Symptoms can include discharge with odor, itching, and discomfort. Yeast infections can be treated with over-the-counter creams. - Trichomonas Infection (TV)
Trichomonas vaginalis is a parasite that causes a sexually transmitted infection. It spreads through unprotected sexual contact. Symptoms include itching, burning, and yellow-green, sometimes foul-smelling discharge. - pH Level
Healthy lactobacilli maintain a vaginal pH between 3.8–4.0. A normal pH inhibits bacterial growth and lowers the risk of infection.

Results

Result interpretation
- pH – An abnormal value indicates some type of infection.
- H₂O₂ – An abnormal result indicates infection.
- SA – A positive result indicates bacterial vaginosis.
- LE – A positive result indicates vaginal inflammation.
- CV – A positive result indicates a yeast infection.
- TV – A positive result indicates a trichomonas infection.
Analytical sensitivity
- H₂O₂: ≥2 μmol/L
- SA: ≥7 units/ml
- LE: ≥9 units/ml
- CV: ≥1×10³ cfu/ml
- TV: ≥1×10³ cfu/ml
Storage
Store the test in its sealed packaging at room temperature or refrigerated (2–30 °C). The test cassette is stable until the expiration date indicated on the packaging. The test device must remain in its sealed pouch until use. Do not freeze.
